Application Analyst


The primary focus of the Application Analyst is to ensure world class operations of enterprise applications that support client's critical business processes. The Application Analyst combines strong technical and functional problem-solving skills with a keen business sense to deliver top notch client-focused support. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and SAAS applications, testing and analyzing software, evaluating proposed changes to existing business applications and participating in the development of technical requirements for business applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs, develops and maintains integrations between Salesforce.com other cloud-based applications.
  • Designs, develops and maintains Apex and JavaScript scripts to handle various Salesforce functions.
  • Analyzes problems and communicates with end users and department managers to assess needs and determine optimal solutions to concerns and/or requests.
  • Resolves functional and system errors as identified by business units including coordination of vendors to isolate problems.
  • Develops test plans to verify logic of programs and identify issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinates within the Technology functional area to successfully deploy software releases in both User Acceptance Testing and Production environments.
  • Champions documentation creation and maintenance including operational processes, incident resolution procedures and maintenance of knowledge articles.
  • Documents all communication and tasks performed including closing out support requests when completed.
  • Supports the organizational leadership by actively seeking out and identifying methods to improve productivity, offers solutions, supports Ministry goals and objectives by attending and being actively involved in all management meetings and training sessions
  • Arrives in a timely fashion to be ready and prepared to begin work at the scheduled time, including breaks and meal periods.
  • Begins each workday by joining requisite staff prayer and Bible study, by actively participating and encouraging the same of departmental team members, while embracing Precept Ministries International vision, mission, and core values.

Experience and Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing/supporting API integrations.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing/supporting web applications.
  • 2+ years of experience developing/supporting on the Salsforce.com platform.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of JavaScript, MS SQL, MySQL and cloud-based integration platforms.
  • Advanced experience working with Word, Excel, and Access required.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand.
  • Ability to learn and apply appropriate procedures within assigned area of specialization.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks to meet established schedules, timelines or deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with team members and Precept staff for diagnosing and troubleshooting anomalies and developing solutions.
  • Possess strong business and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of Precept Ministries International organizational principles associated with complex coordinating, consulting, and operational relationships
  • Possess strong client facing communication skills, in both verbal and written format.
