CMMI Quality Assurance Specialist


The Quality Assurance Specialist position is in support of our Global mission, out of our Winter Springs, FL location.

The Quality Assurance Specialist serves as a representative ensuring the company's quality standards are suitable and implemented in support of our products and services. The Quality Assurance Specialist monitors the Company's processes and procedures to ensure compliance to a predefined set of standards. Any deviation from the standard results in corrective actions to the process or procedure.

The aim of our Quality Assurance team is to have in place the processes and procedures that allow for repeatable results.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks
  • Outline quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Interpret and comply with quality assurance standards
  • Make sure that quality assurance standards are adequate
  • Elaborate the procedures of sampling and guidelines for collection and reporting quality data
  • Oversee the implementation and ensure efficiency of inspection and quality systems
  • Plan, perform and oversee inspection and testing of products to ensure quality deliverables
  • Document quality assurance activities, such as internal audits
  • Analyze customer grievances and other non-compliance issues
  • Gather and organize statistical quality data
  • Inspect data to detect areas for improvement
  • Elaborate, recommend and oversee improvement actions
  • Report on results of quality activities
  • Detect coaching needs and take actions in accordance with these needs in order to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • facilitate external providers conduct on-site audits
  • Analyze audit outcomes and carry out appropriate corrective procedures
  • Lead Quality Assurance efforts in performing CMMI audits/evaluations in preparation for SCAMPI rounds
  • Utilize quality assurance and quality improvement evaluation methodologies for measurement of compliance and to sustain survey readiness, including ongoing preparedness reviews
  • Conduct root cause analysis and process improvement quality reviews
  • Collaborate with project teams in the implementation, monitoring, and assessment of quality improvement plans
  • Assist in the development of improvement plans with department/unit managers and supervisors in response to identified deficiencies
  • Published quality metric dashboard
  • Coordinate training to ensure team members complete all required trainings
  • Assist project managers to assure their projects adhere to compliance practice
  • Create checklists, templates, procedures, and guidelines
  • Advanced understanding of the CMMI process areas, goals, objectives, and best practices.
  • Experience performing configuration management activities to control organizational documentation
  • Experience leading risk and opportunity management activities
  • Ability to analyze, author, or edit business and technical processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in the related field
  • CMMI QA experience preferred
  • Certification, such as Quality Engineer, ISO 9001, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Improvement Associate, is preferred
  • Relevant long-term experience, knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Knack for implementation of corrective action programs
  • Experience in the related industry or with related products
  • Computer competence, including experience with databases and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of QA terms, tools, and methodologies
