Project Manager


Our Project Manager role is responsible for the planning and oversight of projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within scope and budget. The role plans and designates project resources, monitors progress and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way via transparent communications. They are responsible for the planning, organizing of project schedules, defining and tracking milestones and directing the completion of specific projects for the organization. They will assist with the gathering of requirements, deliverables and timeframes from the stakeholders, ensuring priorities are set, issues are tracked and managed and risks have a risk mitigation plan to ensure resolution as well as ensure key decisions are made in a timely fashion to ensure a projects’ success.

The project manager will outline project plans, define the deliverables, and make sure that each phase of the project is completed within time and budget and to the specifications outlined. They will develop project management tools and applications and work closely with business stakeholders, operations managers, software developers and other IT specialists to design, test, and implement projects as approved. The project manager must possess a clear, thorough understanding of programs, the requestor’s needs, and the proposed solution. They will coordinate project implementation and provide stakeholders and senior management with regular progress reports.

The project manager will also focus on delivering improved information flow, data management, change management and reporting and will assist with the development and measurement of operational KPIs to measure operations efficiency and assess strengths and weaknesses, and work to make sure that all critical issues are addressed and documented in a timely fashion.

The role must have exceptional analytical and problem- solving skills and be able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Budgeting and project estimation skills are essential to the job. The project manager will serve as a resource for all internal partners for any and all projects or programs [non-technical or technical]. Be the single point of contact for project status, from the initiation of the project to the successful delivery of projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with team members to detail timelines, requirements and deliverables

Manage project schedules, allocate resources, and measure project outcomes

Manage expectations and provide clear, concise documentation detailing project status, key deliverables, who will deliver what and by when it is be delivered

Review, research and assist with the prioritization of new project requests

Coordinate communications between all team members

Manage all projects from conception to implementation

Communication of all program changes including training when applicable

Proactively manage risk, identifying roadblocks and escalating as needed to ensure project commitments are met on time with a high degree of quality

Develop a solid understanding of all internal processes that may impact project delivery

Provide support to the organization for all aspects of the program

Flexibility to take on additional programs, audit, or assist in any assigned work

Must be pro-active, able to take initiative, and operate independently

Required:

5+ years proven experience in business and IT program and project management

Able to manage across programs and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills with capability of collaborating effectively with internal clients at all levels of the organizational structure

Demonstrated experience in representing technical delivery tasks to non-technical and/or business resources.

Strong attention to detail

Proficient in MS Office, Project, and Visio

Strong organizational and time management skills

EDUCATION

Knowledge of subject matter at a level normally demonstrated by a bachelor’s degree or higher in business or project management.

Prior project management experience.

Demonstrated experience in successful delivery of IT and business projects on scope, on schedule, on spend.
