SAP HR / HCM Application Business Analyst


VALiNTRY is seeking a SAP HR Business Application Analyst works with company leaders, team members and external vendors to define business requirements and project tasks primarily with HR / Payroll but also with other areas of the business. The Business Analyst works with internal and external resources to ensure that required tasks and processes are completed accurately, completely and on time in order to deliver the business requirements. 
 
The Business Application Analyst also works with internal clients on a daily basis to provide support for business process execution. This support for business processes includes analyzing new requirements for the systems based on new functionality and/or new requirements, large or small, and troubleshooting any issues. The Business Application Analyst works with other team members to ensure that all associates are aware of the impact of new functionality, new configuration and any other aspect of projects and business process support.

Key Duties

  • Works with internal clients and vendors to develop and document clear, testable requirements, process diagrams and supporting documentation
  • Analyzes requirements and system capabilities to provide feedback and gap analysis
  • Liaises with clients, vendors and IT to deliver business requirements
  • Develops and executes thorough system test plans and UAT plans
  • Configure SAP HCM and other HR / Payroll related applications to enable defined business processes and complete configuration documentation
  • Troubleshoots issues and provides user and system support as required
  • Leads and attends meetings as required and provides regular and accurate status information to project participants and department leadership
  • Performs data analysis, updates and data loads as required
  • Assist with other projects and responsibilities as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills

College degree preferred (experience will be accepted for the education requirement)

  • HR or MIS degree or equivalent qualifications preferred
  • Training and certifications in SAP HCM applications preferred
  • 2-3 years' experience with SAP HR / Payroll modules
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to work with internal and external partners to deliver solutions
  • Mature ability to assess customer needs and craft and deliver solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage own work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week and flexible/extended hours when necessary
  • Willingness to share knowledge
  • Able to work effectively with remote team members – Strong team spirit
  • Work both independently and with others as necessary
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Think independently and develop solutions to problems
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.  Experience with PowerPoint and Visio Preferred
  • Skilled with Enterprise HCM and HRIS technologies
  • Skilled at managing HR / Payroll processes using technology
  • Skilled at managing data, data conversion and data translation processes
