Senior LIMS Systems Analyst

The Senior LIMS Systems Analyst will:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for all assigned technical areas
  • Collaborate with system analysts and subject matter experts across sites, on support of applications
  • Provide technical and end-user support of laboratory applications, and systems with a primary focus on:
    • SampleManager LIMS
    • Empower
    • SLIM
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders external to IT
    • Effectively collaborate to identify improvement opportunities
    • Facilitate creative problem solving and knowledge sharing
  • Anticipate major customer needs, analyze impact of new technology, and provide recommendations resulting in value-added solutions that meet the customer's needs
  • Lead technical projects and resolve highly complex, difficult problems
    • Assist in systems documentation, organization, testing, and auditing
  • Maintain computer applications which includes required upgrades, documentation and validation
    • Schedule downtime with IT and end users, along with notifications and documentation

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelors (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biology, Chemistry, or other related field. 

  • 5-8 years previous experience in supporting laboratory applications with an increasing scope of responsibility
  • Previous experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries preferred

Technical Knowledge/Skills Needed:

  • SampleManager LIMS
  • VGL & SQL
  • Integration of laboratory instruments with SampleManager LIMS system
  • Integration of Empower with LIMS, SLIM, and NuGenesis ELN
  • Strong knowledge of master data management & business process
  • Knowledge of laboratory environments (i.e., HPLCs, GC's, Empower, NuGenesis SDMS, LIMS…) preferred
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in a regulated / validated environment preferred
  • Project management and technical lead experience
