VALiNTRY is seeking a Technical Writer/Content Specialist for a position in Las Vegas, NV
The technical writer will work with Consumer Finance Technical Writing team, reporting to Sr. Content Specialist, and partner with the business and technical subject matter experts to gather product knowledge, document processes, compose business information, and post on our Information Center. A great deal of time will be spent working in the current content authoring and management software (AuthorIt). Specifically, will document and update process maps, processes, policies, procedures, instructions, and job aids by following existing standards; route content through the documentation process; prepare, send, and process monthly content reviews to ensure business maintains accuracy and relevant documentation in the Information Center.
Requirements: Education/Experience: Degree in Technical Communications, English, Communications, or a Degreed Candidate with equivalent experience and work portfolio; 2-3 years’ experience creating content, documentation, Technical Writing, or Instructional Design.
Technical: MS Office suite including Visio; online help tools such as Robohelp, Mad Cap, or AuthorIt Enterprise Authoring Tool (preferred); Adobe Acrobat Professional; Snag-it
Knowledge of authoring software, preferably AuthorIt; Strong experience in content creation, content management, and information gathering techniques with the ability to research, write, edit, and proofread technical content within established time frames, under minimal supervision; demonstrated ability to deliver high quality services and to work under pressure; ability to manipulate graphic images; recognize appropriate level of communication for the targeted audience; communicates effectively with internal customers to identify needs and evaluates alternative business options; has experience in working with diagramming, modeling, non-functional requirements, and screen captures.
